Last Saturday I went to the movies to watch Ninotchka for the first time. I had never seen any movie starring Greta Garbo and my expectations were really high, because of all the media attention surrounding the swedish diva. Needless to say, the film cheered me up so much I want to see everything she took part in. This movie is mostly set in Paris and also briefly in Moscow. Even though the movie is black and white only in Moscow do I feel it in two colors, in Paris the entire atmosphere and Ninotchka and Leon's relationship resemble a cheerful, colorful spectrum. A movie made of contrasts and with a very sharp sense of humor. To be seen again!
